Once upon a time, in the rocky mountains of Tibet, there was a small, fluffy horse named Punte. Punte was much smaller than the other majestic horses in the kingdom and was often ridiculed for his size. As a child, Punte wondered why he was different and questioned if he might have been cursed in his past life. Despite this, he loved to run and play, but he always found himself left behind as the larger horses raced ahead, leaving him in their dust.

One day, a group of monks arrived in the kingdom in search of a special horse—one that was both swift and compact, perfect for navigating the narrow, steep paths of a treacherous mountain journey, and could handle the cold. The group was following a guide who sought a sacred location in the mountains where a Buddha resided, and they needed a horse that could carry the gifts they brought for the Buddha and walk silently with the graceful seekers.

To everyone's surprise, the monks chose Punte. They recognized that his small size and agility were perfect for the journey. At first, Punte was hesitant and worried about whether he could handle such a difficult task. But seeing the benevolent eyes of the monks and remembering how he had been overlooked and ridiculed before, he decided to take a chance.

With determination, Punte set out with the guide and the monks. The journey was tough, but Punte soon found his stride. His small size allowed him to navigate narrow paths easily, and his speed kept him in sync with the meditative group. He realized that while he might be small, even the majestic horses would seem small before the grandeur of the mountains. He saw how persistence brought out the true strength of his soul.

The glory he developed walking with the monks on this pilgrimage was far greater than anything a horse could achieve in a lifetime. Punte caught a glimpse of the Buddha and was blessed by the monks for his help.

When they returned to the kingdom, Punte was celebrated by the other horses. They lined up to hear Punte's story and the tales of the Buddha he had seen. Punte proved to be the hero of the expedition, and the monks knew it was his unique qualities that made the journey successful.

Punte finally understood that nature doesn’t create anyone without a purpose, though it might take years or sometimes even decades to discover. He carried the blessings of a realized soul, which gave him the pride to live his life with fulfillment.
